What strollo design provided

what strollo provided

Strollo sought to make a durable, long-life product.  The jar design was challenging, and we were extremely conscious of the material selection. It had to be safe for food storage, odor free, and lastingly transparent. It also needed reliable sealing capability. Likewise, docking to a pegboard was a natural fit for what we wanted to do with this product, but most things that hook onto a pegboard don’t stay put. We knew it had to firmly attach to the pegboard, while also being easy to remove and reposition when desired.

Strollo went through multiple design iterations on the jar, lid and dock to improve reliability and ease of use. To improve the life of the product and overall durability, we designed in a real hinge in lieu of a plastic, living hinge. To get the proper snap fit, we performed a competitive study with in-depth analysis of geometry, materials, and surface finish required to yield the right performance.  Equivalent focus was placed on strength and durability of the dock as well as ease of installation.  The SmartJars® product was tooled in and is currently made in the USA and is currently in production with widespread appeal.
